3. The BFG

Rarely does nostalgia dictate whether or not I am excited for a film, mainly because I am not nostalgic for many things. Roald Dahl’s The BFG is one of those things. It was far and away my favorite book as a kid, and to think the great Steven Spielberg is the one bringing it to the big screen with three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance as the titular giant is almost too good to be true. Now, I am not one of these people who demands the film be exactly like the book. I want this to be it’s own thing and have the potential to be as good as that book. I hope it is.
The BFG will be released July 1, 2016
