The Ten Worst Films of 2015

7. Jurassic World

The second film on my list to make over a billion dollars ($1.668 billion to be a bit more accurate). A number of films this year rebooted a franchise with a sequel that just copies the plot from the original film (Creed, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), but Jurassic World was the biggest offender of the bunch. There is no authorial voice whatsoever and is nothing but corporate, cynical filmmaking. Also, the fact that this park is still open even though we have had three movies telling us how bad of an idea that is makes no sense, and World does nothing to justify itself. Finally, the dinosaurs of twenty-two years ago look better than they do today.
