8. The Longest Ride
Remember when I said very few things are worse than a romance between two people you don’t care about? Well, the only thing that could possibly make that worse is if the story comes from a Nicholas Sparks novel. These are better actors than in Love, but their characters are so boringly stock it does not matter. The guy has a dangerous job. The girl doesn’t want him to do it, but it’s “all he knows”. Ugh… if the guy had actually gotten killed in the rodeo, maybe there’d be something here. But he doesn’t (spoiler!), so there isn’t.
