2. Mortdecai
In a year where Johnny Depp may get an Oscar nomination for Black Mass, we cannot forget he gave what might be his worst performance, in a long list of bad performances, in Mortdecai. This is 100% mugging, and every new face makes your face red and steam blow out your ears. This art caper should be fun, and instead it’s tedious. Everyone on screen must have been laughing and having a good time behind the scenes, but none of that shows up on screen. This is a lazy movie. We are meant to believe mustaches are hilarious. They aren’t, and I have no idea why one would think that. Particularly a mustache that is a fairly standard mustache.
