4. Swiss Army Man

Writer/directors Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert come from the background of Channel 101 and Funny or Die scenes of comedy, which specialize in short, high energy content. Swiss Army Man is their first feature, and I wonder how they are able to operate in a longer medium. Clearly, they attracted some attention with this film, as the cast includes Paul Dano, Daniel Radcliffe, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. This indicates to me something is there, and with Radcliffe’s preference to do different and weirder things lately, I hope this falls in that camp. But, y’know, in different and weird in a good way.
