Top Ten Most Anticipated Films of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival

We all know January is a terrible month for movies, but thankfully, we have the Sundance Film Festival to come in as an early year reminder there is still good stuff out there to be seen. This will be my first year attending Sundance, and I could not be more excited. Seeing movies nonstop all day is exhausting to many but invigorating to me. The great thing about Sundance is it’s a place of discovery, a collection of premieres of films that do not already have a tremendous marketing budget behind them.

That said, browsing through the program, certain movies do catch your eye more than others, and this top ten is about those films. These are the ten films I am eager to see, and if scheduling goes according to plan, the ones I will not miss. Some are by first time filmmakers. Some are by indie veterans. Yes, your standard white people problem dramedies are there, but hopefully, things surprise me. So, let’s get started with my most anticipated films of this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
